Eden Group a.s., the operator of the Carlsbad Plaza Hotel, appointed a new Sales & Marketing Director in May. Her name is Jitka Daxnerová and we prepared a short interview with her for you.
What target have you set in your new position?
Our target and therefore mine as well is to enhance the standard of services provided to our clients continuously and to extend it to a maximum.
Are you going to improve the work of the Sales & Marketing Department in any way?
Since opening the Carlsbad Plaza (in December 2005), we have done numerous changes in the Department in accordance to our clients' needs. One of the innovations we are introducing at the present time is for example the guarantee of the best price on our website: www.carlsbad-plaza.com.
What motivates you most at your work, what is the driving engine?
The driving engine surely is the satisfaction of our clients. But negative comments are also a motivation for me as I see a way to solve a problem and improve eventually the experience of our guests. For that purpose, we use "satisfaction questionnaires" which we kindly ask our guests to fill in and which are evaluated regularly.
What, in your opinion, is your biggest strength?
I think that it is the commitment to work and the fact that I really love my work.
Some people say that I am too pedantic about things.
What price strategy have you determined for year 2009?
Apart from changing the season, taking into account the trends of several past years, it is the price rise planned for next year due to a significant increase of the exchange rate of Czech Crown against Euro and changed tax conditions. But I would like to inform our regular clients that they may buy stays for next year for this year's prices! The team of our Reservation Department will provide more information to our guests (firstname.lastname@example.org).
Are you planning any other changes of the company?
Yes, definitely. In consideration of the growing requirements of the visitors to Karlovy Vary, we are preparing a new luxury project. Unfortunately, I cannot tell more in the meantime, let us surprise you.
